I've been a huge Logitech fan ever since they sent me a newer model replacement for a three year old broken mouse that was way out of warranty; I pretty much won't buy anything not made by them. That said, I'm in the market for a gaming mouse, and I think I should do my due diligence. I want something that's wireless and laser, which shouldn't be hard to find, but the one Logitech feature I don't think I can live without is hyper-fast scrolling.

It's basically a scroll wheel that, when you spin it really hard (above a set threshold), free spins and scrolls extremely quickly. So, with those features in mind, and excluding Logitech (since I'm already in love with everything they do), what gaming mice would you guys recommend?

Razer Mamba I love it Wireless/Wired Mouse with rechargeable built in battery I run it wireless mostly and can't tell a latency difference between wired or wireless and I'm no casual gamer. Let the battery die during a game and plugged in and up in running in 5 seconds flat. Just check out the specs its insanity. Also the Razer software has incredible numbers off options to change scroll rates and has on the fly sensitivity swapping capabilities, which I don't really use but are nice if you need em. I feel like, if I'm spending $100 or so on a mouse, I should probably do a little more research into products, rather than just basing it on blind brand loyalty.

Plus, like I mentioned earlier, it doesn't sound like Logitech's mice are as good as they used to be. Oh i definitely don't blame you for making sure you aren't missing out on potentially bad products, but i've heard of issues with razer reliability. I've heard great things about microsoft's mice, but it seems many don't use them. Logitech is just as rock solid as they've always been.

They just don't make the extremely crazy super-loaded-with-tons-of-buttons models like razer does. But that's partially biased opinion of mine (since i've had bad luck with razer) Offline. I'm a big fan of my Cyborg RAT 9. I'm not convinced by the RAT 9, I held one in a shop not long ago and it just felt uncomfortable. I used to like Saitek peripherals (I own a 3200dpi laser mouse & Cyborg V7 keyboard) but since they were bought out by Mad Catz I think they've lost their way a bit. My Cyborg V7 keyboard the 'C' and 'M' keys don't work very well when typing quickly. They just don't seem to register they've been pressed unless you really press firmly.

Will probably change it for mechanical keyboard like the Razer Black Widow or similar. I'm not convinced by the RAT 9, I held one in a shop not long ago and it just felt uncomfortable. Works great for me, though I feel bad for it - I probably use 10% of it's potential. LOL About the only 'advanced' function on it I use is the DIP increase/decrease. I don't have profiles, macros, etc.

Gamepad

It secretly hates me, I bet.
