Fiber Optic Response Devices Arkeya For Mac
I was hoping for some real help here. My internet provider (in Romania) offers fiber optic service and they say i do not need a modem to connect to the internet via a cable. When i asked what i need for wifi access, he said that just a router without modem (something for ADSL that supports pppoe.then something UTP) Does this make any sense?

It does what a people call a modem on DSL and cable but even those boxes do much more that what a 'modem' used to mean. If your ISP says you need just a router or you just your PC then they mean they are delivering a copper ethernet port to you. They will provide the box 'IE modem' that does whatever conversion is needed. You can use any router that says its WAN port is ethernet.
