IBM ThinkPad R51 Notebook drivers for free download.
This is a call for help. Does anyone know where I can find the right drivers for my IBM ThinkPad R51? Now, I've downloaded Driver Updater Pro to get the list of drivers I need. I've searched oodles of sights (usually through google), the majority of which, when you click on download, you just end up downloading Driver Detective, or Spider Driver Robot something.etc, etc. Following is the list of drivers that according to Driver Updater (I did find a few drivers, but not all) I need. PCI Modem Motoroloa 9/23/2008 6.12.18.04 SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Realtek 9/24/2008 5. Intel(R) 5 GM/GME/PM/GMV to Processor I/O Controll Intel 8/26/2009 9.1.1.1020 A little more history.
It's a made in Japan, Japanese PC that had a Japanese version of XP on it. It worked fine, but it was all in Japanese. So, I reinstalled a Dell version of WinXP which of course wiped out all my drivers. So, whaddya think?
Anyone can help? It's greatly appreciated. Googling 'lenovo thinkpad R51 drivers' found me the official from Lenovo (who now own IBM's laptop division.) I'm 100% sure that this has every single driver you could possibly need, since I am currently typing on a Thinkpad R51 myself.

Lesson: try finding the manufacturer's website and looking for drivers there, before trawling the general internet (which is a hive of scum and villainy.) - NB: Asking for Windows driver help in a Linux support forum was offtopic and probably not entirely appropriate. Maybe the folks at forums.techguy.org would provide better help to you as a windows user, in future?
